Stop Windows 11/10 from displaying Lock screen background picture
The Lock screen displays an image, time, and date, and also show preferred apps, such as your calendar, messages while your computer is locked. However, although the high-quality images add a little flair to the Windows background, you can disable them from showing up. Follow these instructions to enable or disable Show Lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen: By default, Windows 11/10 shows a flashy background picture on the sign-in screen, where you enter your log-in password or pin but some users prefer to display a plain Login screen with no images. Here’s what they can do to disable this setting. On your Windows 11/10 PC or Desktop, click the Windows button in the lower-left corner. In Windows 10, select Settings from the menu and switch to the Personalization section.
Once there, scroll down to the Lock screen option.
In the right-pane, scroll down to locate the Show Lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen option. In Windows 11 you will see it here:
When found, switch the toggle to Off position to disable or stop Windows 11/10 from showing Lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen. Restart your PC to allow the changes to take effect.
