Gaming Settings in Windows 10
When you open the Gaming settings on your Windows 10 PC, you will see five categories in the left pane:
1. Game bar
These settings include those that help you operate and manage the Game bar. You can control open the Game bar and control how it recognizes your game. Another function of the Game bar is to be able to record the game clips, screenshots, and broadcast. Under Keyboard shortcuts, you can determine your own shortcuts for various functions such as to open Game bar, take a screenshot, record, start/stop recording, etc. Under Related settings, you will find the link to Graphic settings which enables you to customize graphics performance preference for specific applications.
2. Captures
The Captures tab lets you control how you can capture your game through screenshots and game clips. You can record your game in the background and also set the maximum recording length up to 4 hours.
The audio can also be recorded when you choose to record the game. You can set the audio quality, microphone volume, and system volume as required.
Under Recorded video, you can set the desired video frame rate and video quality. As we can see, the recommended video frame rate is 30 fps because the higher video capture might affect the quality of the game. 3. Broadcasting
The Broadcasting settings let you control how your game appears when you broadcast. You can record audio when you broadcast and set the audio quality.
As you can see in the image, you can click on the check boxes if you wish to turn the microphone on while broadcasting, use auto echo cancellation, and broadcast game audio-only. Adjust the Microphone volume and System volume as needed. Also, choose the Broadcast language from the drop-down menu. Additionally, you can choose to turn on the camera when you broadcast and capture mouse cursors in the broadcast.
4. Game Mode
Turn the Game Mode on to optimize your PC for play. Under Related settings, you will see the Graphic settings which will allow you to a classic or a universal app to customize its graphics performance preference.
5. Xbox Networking
In this section, you will find the details related to the Connection status, Performance, and Xbox Live multiplayer. This covers the Gaming settings in your Windows 10 PC.
